Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Demonstrates service excellence, supports the healthcare team, and understands the concepts of patient‑centered care. Recognizes signs and symptoms of stroke, initiates stroke alerts, and verifies the NIHSS and bedside swallow. Assists ICU nurse with telemedicine consult and physician evaluation, and facilitates transport of inpatient stroke alerts to and from the CT scan.

Performs required documentation and completes annual stroke‑knowledge training. Floats to any unit within competency based on need.

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
• Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute‑care setting.
• BLS (current upon hire).
• ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment). Specialty may include stroke.
• Current Florida nursing license.
• Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment required by the facility.
