RN CATH LAB opportunity at Wellington Regional Medical Center. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, full benefits, and a convenient day shift schedule. There is an opportunity for overtime and to cover various shifts if interested. Shift: 7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday with on-call shifts.

• Provide nursing care for Interventional/Imaging patients under the direction of Department Manager and Medical Director, supporting cardiologists and allied professionals both technically and clinically.
• Be willing to cross-train and float to other Imaging Service areas as needed.
• Recognize signs and symptoms of stroke and activate stroke alert per protocol; perform NIHSS assessment and coordinate thrombolytic therapy for eligible patients; prepare patients for Endovascular treatment as indicated; assume patient care of the stroke alert in Interventional Radiology.
• Maintain currency in stroke knowledge by completing NIHSS training and at least 8 hours of stroke-related training annually.

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (AD, Diploma, BSN, or MSN).
• Current Florida RN license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of Critical Care/IR/Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Willingness to be cross-trained to other areas.
• Basic computer skills.

The Imaging Procedural Nurse is responsible for all nursing care provided to patients, under supervision of the Department Manager and Medical Director. Responsibilities include assisting the cardiologist and other professionals in assessment, planning, execution and evaluation of care for interventional patients, with willingness to float to other Imaging Service areas as needed. The nurse may participate in stroke alerts and related thrombolytic therapy and must maintain stroke knowledge through ongoing training.
