This is a Seasonal Day Shift opportunity for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The role is temporary, providing flexible days within the month to support patient care in a fast-paced ICU environment.

Provides safe, competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. Offers professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Implements patient‑centered care and demonstrates service‑excellence standards at all times. Recognizes signs and symptoms of stroke, initiates stroke alert procedures, and performs/ documents NIHSS and bedside swallow assessments. Supports telemedicine consults and physician evaluations for thrombolytic therapy, including mixing and administering the treatment when indicated.

Maintains currency in stroke knowledge by completing NIHSS training and a minimum of 8 hours of stroke‑related training annually.

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program.
• Prefer one year full‑time or three years part‑time experience in an acute care setting.
• BLS (current upon hire).
• ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion (or obtained within three months of employment) in the required specialty.
• Current Florida nursing license.
• Must successfully pass any pre‑employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
