Kitchen Hand

Central Gippsland Health (CGH) is a sub‑regional health service and the major provider of health and aged care services in the Wellington Shire. CGH is located in the City of Sale which is 215 km east of Melbourne and provides acute care across three campuses (Sale, Maffra and Heyfield).

The purpose of the role is to be an active part of the production team with support to the distribution team through cleaning large‑scale food production equipment such as pots, ovens, food trays and other service ware. Washing of kitchen plant equipment and floors including cool rooms. Removal of food and other associated production waste from a main kitchen to a central refuse point.

The position supports the preparation and production of food.

• Wash pots and dishes
• Clean and sanitise benches, floors and other kitchen areas
• Receive and put away incoming goods
• Assist Cooks
• Operate and abide by the CGH Food Safety Program

• Hospital Food Service experience preferred
