THE OPPORTUNITYThe UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team for a temporary
part-time opportunity in the capacity of Speech Language Pathologist
, reporting to the Manager of Communication, Language & Speech
. This is a 10-month position (yearly from Sept. – June following the school year calendar) to commence as soon as possible, with an end date of March 5, 2026, with the possibility to end earlier or extend past the anticipated end date.

Hours/FTE:0.1 FTE (3.5 hours per week)
Salary Range:Base salary: $78,219 - $98,447 (based on a 1.0 FTE full-time annual salary, wage rate effective September 1, 2025), plus applicable vacation pay, in accordance with the Employment Standards Act
* Labour market adjustment of 6.0% to be applied to base salary; salary range inclusive of market adjustment is $82,912 - $104,354 per annum (based on a 1.0 FTE full-time annual salary, wage rate effective September 1, 2025), plus applicable vacation pay, in accordance with the Employment Standards Act
* labour market adjustment may fluctuate based on local market
Board Information:10 months; temporary, part time;
Professional Student Services Personnel
- Provides a range of services to the K-12 population, with an emphasis on students with communication disorders in K-2 who are at risk for academic challenges.
- This service is available through an S-LP/mediator team offering a range of direct and indirect approaches.
- Works collaboratively with other UGDSB professionals and educators to support students' communication skills.
- Speech-Language Pathologist Master's degree or equivalent;
Registration with CASLPO - Applicants should be highly skilled, creative, flexible, enthusiastic and have excellent interpersonal skills
- Applicants should enjoy problem solving independently and within a team framework
- Experience in a school setting with a consultative model would be preferable
- Experience working with and supervising supportive personnel would be an asset
- Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are required
