Technician, Refrigeration/HVAC – Walmart
Base pay range: $23.00/hr – $45.00/hr
Support and oversee repair of refrigeration and HVAC equipment at Walmart retail stores. Use commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills, hand tools, digital and power tools to complete jobs, work on a work order management system, document repair activities, and respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s Refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills.
- Utilize the work order management system to receive and process repair work orders for stores and associates, documenting repair activities.
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
- Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
- Complete all required training to operate equipment and tools safely.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations, following Walmart Refrigeration HVAC safety policy and environmental guidelines.
- Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights.
- 2 years’ experience in commercial Refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
- Large scale rack refrigeration experience.
- Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
- 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a 2‑year HVAC/R program.
- Mechanical license in the city or state where the job is located.

Individual compensation packages are based on skill set, experience, and qualifications. Eligible for bonus incentives and premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
