Job Purpose:
To provide professional administrative and secretarial support across a busy GP practice.
The role requires flexibility to work across multiple administrative departments, supporting clinicians, staff, and patients while ensuring accurate clinical documentation and coding.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality medical secretary support to clinicians, including typing correspondence, preparing reports, and managing documentation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records and files.
Undertake clinical coding of diagnoses and procedures in line with best practice.
Coordinate patient appointments, referrals, and clinic schedules efficiently.
Support multiple administrative areas, assisting colleagues as needed.
Liaise with patients, staff, and external organisations professionally and effectively.
Ensure compliance with data protection, confidentiality, and healthcare regulations.
Contribute to continuous improvement of administrative processes and patient care services.
