Factory Based - Wells, Somerset (Commutable from: Glastonbury, Street, Shepton Mallet, Frome, Yeovil, Bridgwater, Weston-super-Mare, Bristol)

This is a secure, permanent position with a leading UK manufacturer that genuinely invests in its engineers, including external qualifications and structured technical upskilling, not just "tick-box" training.

You’ll be joining a well-established food manufacturer with major site investment, a strong retention record and clear long-term goals around sustainable growth and setting the benchmark in their sector.

In this role you’ll take ownership of the site's utilities and services in Wells, maintaining and managing systems such as steam, compressed air, water treatment/distribution, effluent, refrigeration, and wider site maintenance with contractor oversight.

This role suits a technically driven engineer who wants to deepen their specialist skillset through training and recognised qualifications, in a business that will invest in you for the long term.

• Maintain and manage site services/utilities (steam plant, compressed air, water systems, effluent, refrigeration) in a modern manufacturing facility
• Contractor management, stock control and general building / site maintenance to keep the site operating safely and efficiently
• Days-based role, Monday to Friday (40 hours) with premium overtime available (1.5x)

• NVQ (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
• Multi-skilled maintenance background (electrical and mechanical)
• Site services / utilities experience (e.g. boilers, water treatment, air con, refrigeration) within an FMCG/manufacturing/industrial environment
