Our client, a well-regarded and long-established law firm, is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join their friendly and professional team based in their Wells, Somerset office. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor or legal executive with a minimum of two years’ post-qualified experience and a strong grounding in private client work.

The Role

As a key member of the private client department, you will:

  • Manage your own caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, inheritance tax planning, and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Provide clear, empathetic and high-quality advice to a broad range of clients.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain excellent client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of the department.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm and assist in developing best practice and enhancing client service.
  • Participate in business development and networking activities when required.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years PQE in private client law (Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive).
  • Confident knowledge of wills, trusts, probate and estate planning.
  • A client-focused approach with the ability to communicate sensitively and professionally.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy and varied caseload.
  • A positive, team-orientated outlook with the ability to work independently where required.
  • A commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance, professionalism and service delivery.
