Reporting to the Principal and instructors, the Educational Support Assistant aids in implementing personalized learning strategies for students with diverse needs. Candidates must have knowledge of child development, various learning strategies, and strong communication abilities. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with students either individually or in small groups, fostering an inclusive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with academic instruction in reading and math
• Develop learning activities tailored to student needs
• Implement strategies for individual and group support
• Communicate effectively with educational staff
• Promote a positive academic atmosphere
Requirements:
• High School diploma with educational experience
• Understanding of disabilities and inclusive education
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with community services and resources
• Sign language ability considered an asset
