Position: Powder Coat Operator (Weekend Shift)

Job Title: Manufacturing Operator, 3rd shift (Onsite)

Location: Portsmouth, NH

Hourly Pay Rate: $24.77 - $28.28 (shift differential included)

Standard

Work Schedule:

Friday - Sunday 6:00am – 6:00pm

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepping parts for powder coating.
  • Operating manual electrostatic guns to apply the powder.
  • Operator in the powder coating process.
  • Maintain and operate powder coat booth, dryoff and cure ovens and pretreatment system.
  • Performs work according to Job Instructions (J.I.’s) assigned to the position.
  • Ensures production, quality and safety standards are met.
  • Performs cleaning and maintenance using 5S practices.
  • Performs other assignments as directed by local supervision and Team Leader.
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor and maintain equipment (automatic guns, part conveyor system, ovens, and pretreatment system.
  • Inspect parts for compliance to quality standards.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • Minimum of one to two years of previous work experience.
  • Technical ability to elevate issues when identified.
  • Must be able to pass medical respirator test.
  • Must be able to wear dust respirator while in powder coat booth.
  • Experience in a production environment is required.
  • Powder coating operation and experience is preferred.
  • Must be able to work in high heat temperature area.
  • Forklift certification is preferred.
  • Must be able to read and interpret daily production plans.
  • Must have good organizational skills and be self‑motivated.
  • Ability to perform the essential functions assigned to the position.
  • Understanding of metric measurement systems is preferred.
  • Experience reading and utilizing blueprints is preferred.
  • Must be able to work overtime and on weekends as needed.
  • The desire and ability to work in a team environment demonstrated through a positive quality, safety, attendance and good work history.
  • Compliance with all rules of conduct, safety regulations and policies provided in Employee Handbooks, on Company bulletin boards/announcements, terms/conditions of employment or other means of communication is a requirement of the job.
