Join a global OEM leader supporting the mining industry with innovative technologies and lifecycle solutions. FLSmidth is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Technical Advisor - Mill & Crusher Liners to join our Site Services team based in Welshpool, WA. This role has been created to support continued growth and increasing customer demand across our consumables and technical services business.

As a Technical Advisor, you will be the subject matter expert for mill and crusher liner systems, providing technical support throughout the wear life cycle, from installation and commissioning through to inspections, performance analysis, optimisation, and replacement planning. You will work closely with customers, service teams, engineering groups, and product specialists to maximise equipment performance, liner life, safety, and maintenance efficiency across mining operations.

Extensive travel, including interstate and international travel at times, will be required.

What you will be doing

Provide technical advisory services for mill and crusher liner systems across customer sites

Conduct liner inspections, wear measurements, condition assessments, and performance evaluations

Support customers with liner optimisation strategies to improve wear life, throughput, and maintenance efficiency

Lead and support liner installation, reline activities, commissioning, and shutdown execution

Analyse wear patterns and operational data to identify improvement opportunities and recommend corrective actions

Prepare technical reports and provide recommendations to customers and internal stakeholders

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to support continuous improvement initiatives

Promote a strong safety culture across all site activities

Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities for consumable improvements, upgrades, and lifecycle solutions

Provide technical training and mentoring to customers, service teams, and junior personnel

What you bring

Mechanical trade qualification, engineering qualification, or equivalent industry experience

Extensive experience with mill liners, crusher liners, or other mining wear consumables

Strong understanding of comminution circuits, including grinding mills and crushing equipment

Experience conducting liner inspections, wear analysis, and performance assessments

Knowledge of reline procedures, shutdown maintenance, and mine site safety requirements

Ability to interpret technical drawings, liner designs, wear reports, and engineering documentation

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on continuous improvement

Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills

Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with customers and internal teams

Experience providing technical recommendations that improve equipment performance and operational efficiency

Willingness to travel extensively across customer sites

Hard rock mining experience highly regarded
