Role Overview

Full-time, on-site Digital Print Operative based in Welshpool. Set up, operate, and monitor digital print machinery to produce high-quality printed materials in line with customer specifications and production schedules.

Responsibilities include preparing print files, loading media and consumables, performing routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on digital presses, ensuring accurate color reproduction and finishing, quality checking output, packaging completed work, and coordinating with colleagues in pre-press, finishing, and dispatch to meet deadlines. The successful candidate will follow health, safety, and environmental procedures and contribute to continuous improvement in print processes and customer service.

Qualifications
  • Experience operating digital printing equipment and related software, with the ability to manage file setup, print queues, and basic color adjustments.
  • Strong attention to detail, including accurate measurement, alignment, and quality checking of printed materials throughout the production process.
  • Good practical and technical skills, including routine machine maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and safe handling of materials and equipment.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, work to deadlines, and manage multiple jobs in a busy production environment.
  • Clear communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with colleagues in pre-press, finishing, dispatch, and customer service.
  • Basic IT skills and familiarity with digital print workflows; experience with design or pre-press software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or similar) is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a print, manufacturing, or production environment is beneficial but not essential; full training can be provided for candidates with the right aptitude.
  • Commitment to quality, health and safety, and environmental standards, with a flexible and proactive approach to supporting changing production needs.
