The successful candidate will provide general anaesthesia and intensive care services across the two hospitals, including the 18‑bed adult ICU at Barnet Hospital, and will support teaching and research activities.
Responsibilities- Deliver general anaesthesia for elective, emergency and urgent procedures.
- Provide intensive care support across the 18‑bed ICU at Barnet Hospital.
- Participate in teaching programmes for undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
- Engage in quality improvement, audit and research activities within the ICU.
- Support the transition to a paperless ICU environment and contribute to data collection.
- Delegate in line with on‑call commitments: one in 12 weekdays, one in 6 weekends.
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice.
- MBBS or equivalent.
- On the GMC Specialist Register via CCT in Anaesthesia (CCT date within six months of interview).
- CESR or European Community Right.
- FRCA or equivalent.
- Evidence of Intensive Care training up to Level 3 or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrable ability to meet the Trust values.
- Experience in training undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- MD or PhD.
- Outstanding research record.
- FFICM.
- ATLS, ALS/EPLS/APLS certificates and instructor qualifications.
- Course in Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching, Training the Trainers course.
- 6 months paediatric anaesthesia experience.
