We are currently seeking a Physiotherapist (Band
5) to join our rotational scheme. The role offers new graduate and experienced Band 5 physiotherapists the opportunity to work across acute in‑patients and community settings in East and North Hertfordshire, including Lister Hospital (Stevenage) and several community sites (Stevenage, Letchworth, Royston, Welwyn Garden City, Hertford, Waltham Cross). The post covers respiratory care, orthopaedics, care of the elderly, stroke/hyperacute stroke unit, medical rehabilitation and specialist neurology, intermediate care and musculoskeletal services.
- Provide specialist neurological assessment and treatment as part of the Enhanced Early Supported Discharge team.
- Deliver goal‑focused rehabilitation for stroke and other neurological conditions, working closely with occupational therapists, speech & language therapists, psychologists, rehabilitation assistants and social care partners.
- Participate in an 18‑bedded in‑patient neuro‑rehabilitation unit (Danesbury) and provide up to 6 weeks of inpatient rehabilitation.
- Take part in weekend work (one in four weekends) with days off in‑lieu.
- Offer expert advice and guidance to professionals, carers and relatives.
- Band 5 physiotherapist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
- Experience in neurological or musculoskeletal rehabilitation preferred.
- Valid driving licence and access to a car for business use (unless exempt under the Equality Act 2010).
- Ability to travel to multiple sites and work flexible hours.
- Basic salary plus a High‑Cost Area Supplement of 5 % (minimum £1,066, maximum £1,845 per annum).
