Overview
The Customer TPM plays a critical role in delivering Tesco’s Customer & Loyalty strategy, supporting initiatives that drive Customer Engagement, Personalisation, and growth of Clubcard, Rewards and Subscription propositions. This role will focus on supporting the Personalisation strategy to ensure customers receive relevant and rewarding engagement.
Responsibilities- Lead complex, cross‑functional programmes across Technology, Product, and Business teams, ensuring delivery of customer‑centric outcomes at scale across Tesco Group (UK, ROI, Central Europe).
- Support Tesco regions (Republic of Ireland, Czech, Slovakia & Hungary) with delivery of Customer Program.
- Develop and maintain a communication strategy for Customer Programs.
- Design and implement new processes and best practices to support Programme delivery.
- Own, manage, and deliver requirements to support Customer & Loyalty deliverables.
- Lead the adoption and improvement of practices across Product, Programme and Engineering.
- Support Product, Engineering, Data & Design teams to create and communicate long‑term roadmaps.
- Align with cross‑functional teams (Customer Journey, UX, UI, App & backend) from inception to delivery and handover for BAU.
- Manage dependencies across all technology job families & business partners to deliver transparency and visibility for key outcomes through clear, regular communications.
- Identify potential risks and issues, establish processes, facilitate discussions, and manage escalations.
- Understand technical architecture to anticipate impact on dependencies, delivery timelines and implementation plans.
- Apply engineering best practices and infrastructure implementation knowledge to appreciate delivery challenges.
- Grasp new technology concepts quickly and understand their implications on delivery.
- Proactively identify problems, work closely with Product and Engineering to quantify impact and influence prioritisation to meet programme requirements.
- Build positive relationships with internal & external stakeholders to deliver complex rollouts or installations, or professional services.
- Role‑model Tesco Values & Purpose in day‑to‑day work.
- Strong understanding of Technical Programme Management disciplines and managing within multiple frameworks.
- Experience working with geographically diverse teams: programme, product, engineering, data & design.
- Proven record of accomplishment in delivering technology programmes.
- Ability to articulate complex concepts to a diverse audience.
- Ability to influence without authority.
- Management of annual Programme budgets (forecasting & control).
- Annual bonus scheme of up to 20% of base salary.
