The Senior System Specialist provides strategic leadership, governance, configuration, and development of the Trust's Systm One environment. As the Trust's senior Systm One subject matter expert, the post holder ensures the system supports safe patient care, efficient service delivery, and compliance with organisational and NHS requirements.
Working with clinical, operational, and digital teams, the post holder leads complex system developments, standardisation initiatives, and service improvements, providing expert advice on configuration, data quality, information governance, reporting, and digital transformation. The role also includes line management responsibility for Clinical Systems Analysts, promoting best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Lead the governance, configuration, standardisation, and strategic development of Systm One across the Trust.
- Provide expert advice on Systm One functionality, configuration, development, and clinical system optimisation.
- Lead the assessment, testing, implementation, and governance of system changes, ensuring risks are identified and managed.
- Develop and maintain system standards, policies, procedures, documentation, and operational guidance.
- Support organisational transformation and service improvement through effective use of Systm One.
- Manage and develop Clinical Systems Analysts and other team members through leadership, coaching, and performance management.
- Engage with stakeholders to capture requirements, manage expectations, and deliver agreed system developments.
- Ensure accurate data capture, reporting, data quality, clinical coding, and compliance with local and national standards.
- Conduct audits, impact assessments, and reviews to support governance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee system integrations and interoperability with other clinical and operational systems.
- Provide advice on clinical risk related to system design and configuration.
- Deliver knowledge sharing, training, and support to develop system expertise across the organisation.
- Represent the Trust at internal and external groups relating to clinical systems and digital transformation.
- Contribute to service planning, resource management, and the continuous improvement of digital services.

Person Specification Experience & Knowledge- Extensive experience administering, configuring and developing Systm One within a healthcare environment
- Detailed knowledge of Systm One, NHS clinical workflows, Information Governance and clinical risk management
- Experience implementing and working with Systm One integrations
- Experience developing governance frameworks, standards, SOPs and risk assessments
- Experience in system testing, implementation, data quality improvement and audit support
- Experience managing stakeholders and supporting clinical and operational services
- Experience line managing, coaching or mentoring staff
- Knowledge of interoperability and healthcare integration standards
- Experience working within Community, Mental Health or Integrated Care services
- Experience leading system developments, service transformation and change programmes
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio
- Ability to assess risk, make decisions and manage service expectations
- Ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences
- Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills
- Strong organisational, analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands
- Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and governance groups

£57,528 to £64,750 a year per annum pro rata
