Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEND Support)

Location:

Mainstream Primary School, Wembley

Hours:

Monday–Friday, 8:30am–4:00pm

Pay:
From £89 per day (PAYE)

Contract:

Ongoing / Term‑time only

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Wembley, supporting a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), behavioural challenges and speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD, behavioural needs and speech and language difficulties.
  • Implement strategies to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals (e.g. speech and language therapists).
  • Support learning activities both in and out of the classroom.
  • Encourage independence, communication and social interaction.
Requirements
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
  • Level 2 TA candidates with relevant SEND experience will also be considered.
  • Previous UK primary school experience (essential).
  • Experience supporting children with ASD and challenging behaviour.
  • Understanding of speech and language needs.
  • Calm, patient and resilient approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
