Teaching Assistant

Position: Teaching Assistant (Contract)
This mainstream school with an excellent reputation is seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team!

The successful applicant will:

Have at least 6 months of classroom experience
Be skilled in working with early learners who display challenging behaviours
Have a track record of success with early learners and pre-verbal primary aged learners
De-escalate situations in the first instance
Be a strong advocate for inclusion in a mainstream school

Role responsibilities:

Working 1:1 with 2 learners with SEN in a mainstream primary school
Taking responsibility for safeguarding the learners and other children as necessary
Monitoring and managin behaviour in line with school policy and relevant IEPs
Anticipating and facilitating movement breaks
Delivering differentiated learning as directed
Assisting the teacher as required
