Russell Group Graduate | Brent | September 2026 Start

£444–£513 per week via PAYE, inclusive of holiday pay | Full‑time | Term‑time only | September 2026–July 2027

An ambitious secondary school in Brent is seeking a Russell Group Graduate to join from September 2026 on a long‑term basis. This opportunity is ideal for a high‑achieving graduate looking to gain meaningful school‑based experience before progressing into teaching, educational psychology, or wider education‑focused careers.

The school has built a strong reputation for academic progress, inclusion and pupil development across KS3 and KS4. Staff work collaboratively to ensure students receive consistent academic and pastoral support, with targeted intervention programmes helping pupils strengthen confidence, subject knowledge and long‑term attainment. The school also places clear emphasis on professional development, giving graduates the opportunity to work closely alongside experienced teachers, pastoral staff and subject leaders throughout the academic year.

As a Russell Group Graduate, you will provide both classroom and intervention support across your specialist subject area, helping students develop stronger understanding, engagement and independent learning habits. The role offers a strong balance of academic mentoring, classroom experience and pastoral interaction within a structured secondary school environment.

What the role involves
  • Supporting KS3 and KS4 students within lessons and intervention sessions
  • Delivering targeted 1:1 and small‑group academic support
  • Assisting teachers with classroom learning, behaviour routines and pupil progress
  • Helping pupils improve confidence, organisation and subject understanding
  • Working closely with teaching staff to support students of varying academic ability
The successful candidate will
  • Hold a degree from a Russell Group university
  • Demonstrate strong academic credentials and communication skills
  • Have previous child‑centred experience, such as tutoring, mentoring or volunteering
  • Show enthusiasm for education and supporting young people
  • Be committed to making a positive impact within a Brent secondary school

This Russell Group Graduate role offers excellent preparation for graduates considering teacher training or long‑term work within secondary education.
