Senior Transformation and Integration Accountant

Join to apply for the Senior Transformation and Integration Accountant role at SNG (Sovereign Network Group). It is a fixed term contract for 6 months, based from either Basingstoke or Wembley, combining home and office working.

Reporting to the Head of Finance Transformation and Integration, you will act as a subject matter expert interfacing between operational finance teams and the change teams leading on the Workday implementation, forward‑thinking and helping to create new ways of work.

• Proactively create and provide advice on reporting and Workday best practices to senior stakeholders
• Take the lead in driving Workday projects and initiatives through to completion
• Support the implementation of the new system, new chart of accounts, data reconciliations, reporting and financial planning, documenting and testing processes and procedures
• Work with operational colleagues to gain their input and buy‑in and provide support and training on key aspects of the system and reporting
• Identify and implement improvements to existing ways of working
• Provide advice and ensure financial implications and controls are fully considered in the best interests of SNG

• Previous experience in a similar role, proven experience implementing Workday, strong report‑writing capability, solid understanding of financial planning and analysis processes
• Strong, clear working knowledge of processes and controls surrounding financial processing, accounting, and management accounting preparation
• Good understanding of relevant legislation and accounting principles for Housing Associations (desirable)
• A track record of working effectively in a changing and continuously improving environment
• Strong experience in senior stakeholder management and collaboration
• Highly numerate, computer literate with strong Microsoft Word and Excel skills
• Knowledge of Agresso, SUN Accounting system or other finance systems (desirable) to support the cutover period
• Qualified Accountant, ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent postgraduate accounting qualification (post‑qualification experience desirable)
