IT Support Officer

  • Location: Wembley, HA9 0FJ
  • Rate of pay: 22.41 PAYE or 29.51 Umbrella per hour
  • Job Type: Full-Time, Temp till November 2026 with possibly extension
  • Working Pattern: Office-based, Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are looking for an IT Support Officer to join a Technology Services team. This role is responsible for providing technical support across the organisation, ensuring IT systems, devices, and services are maintained and operating effectively.

The successful candidate will deliver excellent customer service, resolve technical issues, support IT infrastructure projects, and work closely with colleagues and third-party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first and second-line IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Monitor and manage support tickets, ensuring calls are resolved within agreed service levels.
  • Deliver on-site technical support to users across supported locations.
  • Build, deploy, repair, and replace IT equipment.
  • Maintain accurate IT records, asset registers, and technical documentation.
  • Support IT projects and infrastructure improvements.
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve technical issues and fulfil service requests.
  • Support office moves and equipment installations.
  • Assist in creating and updating IT procedures and knowledge base articles.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members where required.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Experience working in a technical IT support environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and device management tools.
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience working with IT service management processes such as ITIL.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
