Day Care Team Leader

Location: Tokyngton

Brent Council are currently seeking an experienced Team Leader to join their Day Services team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic chance to support a highly respected local authority and lead services that make a real impact in the community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Service Delivery & Staff Management

* Ensure adequate staffing levels and effective supervision to maintain a safe, caring, and responsive service for service users, families, and representatives.

* Maintain high-quality standards, ensuring the service meets legislative requirements, best practice guidance, and operates within available resources.

2. Quality & Compliance

* Ensure community-based care services meet quality benchmarks and adhere to all statutory and organisational policies.

3. Activity Planning

* Initiate, plan, and develop a variety of educational, vocational, and recreational activities for individuals with:

* Learning disabilities

* Physical disabilities

* Autism

* Challenging behaviour

Essential Requirements

* NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent/higher).

* Proven experience working with adults presenting challenging behaviour.

* Experience in managing, supervising, or leading staff teams.

* Experience supervising financial and operational functions within a day-care or community setting.

* Strong background in staff supervision, including setting and monitoring individual performance targets.

* Demonstrated experience in creating and managing staff rotas, accounting for team circumstances and service needs
