Job Role &Key Responsibilities:
We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join an established engineering team within a busy manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in keeping production and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently, responding to breakdowns and supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns
- Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
- Fault-find within control panels and work with inverters
- Maintain production and packaging machinery
- Work on pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings and conveyors
- Support site reliability and minimise production downtime
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
- Work safely and effectively within a fast-paced production environment
- Strong electrical fault-finding experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience reading and interpreting electrical diagrams
- Experience working with inverters and control panels
- Strong reactive maintenance skills
- Basic mechanical maintenance experience
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
- Previous UK manufacturing experience
- A positive, proactive and hands-on approach
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Skills:
- Previous food manufacturing or FMCG experience
- Multi-skilled maintenance background
- Strong mechanical fault-finding experience
- Experience with in packaging, automated or high-speed production environments
- NARIC-equivalent qualifications will also be considered
