Food Service Assistant; School sites

Overview

Food Service Assistant (School) - Wembley area (multiple sites).

Location:

Wembley area, covering three sites (including North Wembley and North Brent).

• Take instruction from the Cook Supervisor & Assistant Cook.
• Support the team with the preparation and service of hot and cold meals and snacks.
• Set out the dining area.
• Clear away and wash up.
• Handle food storage and food preparation using commercial kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Maintain the highest kitchen and food hygiene standards.
• Use knowledge of food hygiene and allergens to ensure cross-contamination is avoided.

• Minimum of Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification (or willingness to work towards it).
• Ability to grasp and apply Health and Safety procedures; knowledge of food allergens and cross-contamination principles.
• Other food industry qualifications and experience would be an advantage.
• Friendly manner, willingness to learn, work hard, and deliver great service.
• Ability to use initiative to solve routine issues; ability to work well in a team and independently; strong communication.
• Good grasp of English to understand and follow written instructions.
• An enhanced DBS check will be required.

• Part-time, Permanent (25 hours per week) Monday to Friday.
• Location:
  
  Across three sites within the Wembley area (North Brent / North Wembley).
• £12.21 per hour.
