Position: Retail Supervisor (Full-Time, 40hrs)

Sales Management

Drive and achieve sales, KPIs, and profitability goals via offering and showing products to customers, assisting them in choosing products, consulting on product purposes, properties, quality, care rules, prices, offering substitutes, new, and related products, calculating purchase costs, issuing receipts, preparing documents, packing purchases, and handling exchanges.

Customer Experience & Communication

Ensure high standards of customer service and engagement on the sales floor. Take measures to prevent and resolve conflict situations. Foster effective communication within the team and with other departments.

Sales floor Engagement

Spend 90% of time on the sales floor engaging with customers and coaching employees.

Team Management

Assist in recruiting, training, developing, and managing store staff. Motivate and encourage retail sales staff to achieve sales targets.

Store Operations

Process POS transactions (sales, exchanges, discounts and refunds) accurately in compliance with Retail P&Ps. Identify, interpret, diagnose the performance of the store based on controllable operational KPIs (including but not limited to CR, UPT, ATV).

Loss Prevention

Oversee loss prevention and ensure operational compliance.

Inventory Management

Achieve or exceed inventory and shrink goals; manage physical inventory counts.

Merchandise Management

Handle incoming and outgoing merchandise and communicate opportunities. Ensure the store's visual presentation meets or exceeds PUMA VM standards.

Reporting

Prepare and analyze sales reports, and provide insights to improve performance.

Compliance

Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.

Sales (Profitability Management and Performance)
  • Essential for achieving sales goals, managing payroll, and ensuring profitability.
  • Analytical abilities preparing and analyzing sales reports, and providing insights to improve performance.
  • Ability to interpret and diagnose the store performance based on controllable operational KPIs.
Product Knowledge
  • Understanding the purposes, properties, quality, care rules, and prices of the products being sold, including offering substitutes, new, and related products to customers.
Customer Service & Communication
  • Crucial for maintaining high standards of customer experience and handling sales transactions accurately.
  • Fostering effective communication within the team and with other departments.
Sales floor Engagement
  • Necessary for spending time on the sales floor, engaging with customers, and coaching employees.
Sales Floor Stock
  • Manage stock levels in the sales floor and ensure sizes and styles are available for the customers.
Visual and Presentation Skills
  • Important for ensuring the store's visual presentation meets or exceeds PUMA's VM standards.
Self-leadership
  • Ability to work independently, be efficient, and manage own emotions and challenges.
Technology
  • Proficiency in retail software, inventory management and POS systems.
Compliance Knowledge
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Inventory and Merchandise Management
  • Handling inventory, managing shrink goals, and processing merchandise.
Other Skills
  • The ability to constantly walk and move about is required. Use of the following senses is critical to this position: speaking, hearing, near and far acuity, depth perception, and field of vision.
  • Minimum of 3 years in a retail environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior retail staff role.
