Online Shop Stock Selection & Pricing Volunteer

A volunteer position based onsite at the heart of our online shop, involving sorting donated items, assessing condition, researching value, and setting fair prices to maximise income and fund Oxfam's work against poverty and inequality.

As a Stock Selection & Pricing Volunteer, you will help turn donated items into online sales, directly contributing to life‑changing impact.

We are looking for friendly, reliable individuals aged 18 or over who enjoy sorting, assessing, and valuing items, have good attention to detail, and are curious and comfortable making decisions.

• Review donated items and select those suitable for online sale
• Keep online stock separate from shop floor items
• Check items for damage, missing parts, and safety issues
• Identify higher‑value, collectable, or unusual items
• Clean, wipe, or steam items where needed
• Record faults clearly and honestly
• Research sold prices using approved sources
• Set realistic, sell‑able prices
• Label and prepare items for photography/listing

• Enjoy sorting, assessing, and valuing items
• Have good attention to detail
• Be curious and comfortable making decisions

• Some lunch and travel costs paid (speak to the Manager first to understand what is covered)
