Pac Aero’s core businesses include an array of electronic connectors and housings for the world’s most extreme environments. Pac Aero is primarily located in Wenatchee, WA with a remote manufacturing site, Bonded Metals, located in Sequim, WA. Working together, we employ proprietary technologies, best practices engineering, and specialized manufacturing techniques to produce hermetic connectors and electronic packaging that perform in the world’s most extreme environments.

Pac Aero’s products are hard at work in medical components, such as cardiac-function devices, on key aerospace & defense programs, in space and deep below the earth's surface.

The Position:

Job Summary

The New Product Introduction (NPI) Engineer plays a key role in bridging product design and manufacturing. This position is responsible for leading the transition of new products from concept and design through production ramp-up, ensuring smooth launches that meet cost, quality, and delivery goals. The NPI Engineer works cross-functionally with the IPT (Integrated Product Teams), design, operations, process engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to develop robust processes and ensure manufacturing readiness for full-scale production.

Mon-Fri, 6am to 3pm (Salaried role- subject to change)

Primary Responsibilities
  • Project Ownership:
    Lead and coordinate new product introduction efforts from prototype through production release.
  • Process Development:
    Assist to develop and document manufacturing processes, work instructions, and test procedures for new products.
  • Design for Manufacturability (DFM):
    Collaborate with IPTs and Operations to ensure products are optimized for efficient, scalable manufacturing.
  • Supplier Engagement:
    Work with supply chain and suppliers to source new components, qualify vendors, and ensure part readiness as needed.
  • Validation & Testing:
    Working with IPTs and Operations, plan and execute prototype/qualification builds, including pilot and pre-production runs. Analyze results and drive corrective actions as needed.
  • Documentation:
    Prepare and maintain necessary documentation such as assembly instructions, build notes, process notes, sketches, etc.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    In coordination with IPTs and Operations, identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership:
    Serve as the primary liaison between IPTs and Operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams during new product launches.
  • Risk Management:

    Assess production risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful product ramp-up.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • On-time and on-budget product launch metrics
  • High First-Pass Yield percentages during pilot and ramp-up
  • High yearly budget commitment to budget attainment ratios
  • Production readiness and process capability (Cp/Cpk)
  • Implementation of corrective actions and design improvements
