Job Description

As a Project Technician at Complete Design, Inc., you will play a crucial support role for Project Managers with project coordination, documentation, quality control, and communications. Your organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail will be essential in handling entitlement, community-led planning processes, and permitting review operations of our company and clients. You will need to prioritize client communications and data documentation alongside strong interpersonal skills.

This position provides a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with professionals from diverse fields, including municipalities, agencies, contractors, vendors, and clients, to contribute to the success of Land Use Planning, Land Surveying, Engineering, and Architectural projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Land Use Planner with planning efforts, including rezones, variances, platting, and long-range plans.
  • Manage the permitting inbox and capture client messages accordingly.
  • Prepare reports, plans, and applications for municipalities and community stakeholders.
  • Format, proofread, and update legal documents, reports, and plans.
  • Examine plans, blueprints, and other documents to verify accuracy according to building codes.
  • Build trust and rapport with communities through authentic facilitation and communication.
  • Communicate requirements or changes to clients, educating them on permitting processes.
  • Advocate for human-first, sustainable, and inclusive development practices in all projects.
  • Collaborate with Architects, Engineers, and Land Surveyors to embed intention into every site plan.
  • Facilitate communication among Management and external stakeholders of project progress and changes.
  • Address, direct, and execute general concerns raised by clients in a timely manner.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and coordinating calendars as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
  • ICC Certification is a plus.
  • Administrative or Office Management certifications are a plus.
  • 5 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in architecture, engineering, or construction.
  • Proficiency in Adobe, Revit, Microsoft Office, and document management software.
  • Excellent attendance and a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues, clients, and agencies.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and multi-tasking.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the capacity to maintain confidentiality.
  • Familiarity with Title and Escrow, and Engineering terminology is an advantage.
