Position Description

Cascadia Conservation District’s mission is to encourage wise stewardship and conservation of all natural resources for current and future residents in Chelan County by:

  • Being an active advocate for wise land use and water management decisions.
  • Promoting a reasonable approach to environmental problems.
  • Providing locally-led, voluntary, non-regulatory solutions to local environmental problems.
  • Educating both adults and youth about natural resources stewardship.
  • Monitoring and responding to future trends that affect the environment.

Cascadia Conservation District (Cascadia CD) is seeking a motivated and collaborative Habitat Restoration Resource Specialist II to help lead aquatic and riparian restoration projects throughout Chelan County. This position will manage projects from concept through implementation and monitoring, including riparian restoration, large woody material installation, low-tech process-based restoration, and fish-passage projects.

In addition to managing restoration projects, grants, contracts, and permitting, this position will play an active role in watershed planning and salmon recovery. A key responsibility will be coordinating and facilitating the Entiat Planning Unit and Entiat Habitat Subcommittee, working with agency, tribal, nonprofit, landowner, and community partners to advance watershed priorities and on-the-ground restoration.

We are looking for someone who combines strong project-management and communication skills with an interest in getting restoration work accomplished on the ground. You do not need to be an expert in every aspect of restoration work. We value relevant experience, sound judgment, curiosity, collaboration, and a willingness to learn.

This is a permanent position working 30-40 hours per week based in Wenatchee, Washington. Hybrid work is available, with employees generally expected to work from the Wenatchee office 1-3 days per week depending on project and team needs. Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance of the office.

The position reports to Cascadia CD’s Rivers cape Program Manager. Funding is subject to the continued availability of federal, state, and local grants and contracts.
