Sign‑On & Relocation Bonus: $10,000 for SUDP; $5,000 for SUDPT
Salary: Addiction Counselor (SUDP): $72,891–$81,384;
Addiction Counselor Trainee (SUDPT): $66,696
Job Summary: The Addiction Counselor provides information, screening, assessment, individual and group counseling, and referrals to services with a patient‑centered, trauma‑informed, harm‑reduction approach to clients with or at risk of substance use disorder. The role collaborates with CVCH care coordinators, therapists, behavioral medicine consultants, psychiatric providers, and primary care providers to support patients’ wellness and recovery. Service may include limited days at Chelan or East Wenatchee sites as needed.
Responsibilities- Accurately complete required documentation and paperwork within required timelines.
- Attend required agency and departmental meetings as indicated by supervisor.
- Participate in regular clinical supervision.
Education: Associate’s Degree in chemical dependency, addiction studies, human services, or related field required;
Bachelor’s or Master’s preferred.
Credentialing: Meets Washington State RCW 18.205 and WAC 246‑811 for certification as a Substance Use Disorder Professional and holds active WA Department of Health SUDP credential.
Experience: Two years providing substance use disorder treatment within a facility licensed by Washington State Department of Health under supervision of a SUDP/CDP Supervisor.
Technical
Skills:
Basic computer and keyboarding skills; proficiency in MS Word/Excel; manual dexterity; strong customer service and process improvement.
Interpersonal
Skills:
Strong communication and teamwork abilities; personal integrity in all interactions.
Physical Requirements: Light physical effort; frequent sitting; ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance if needed.
Essential Mental & Sensory Abilities: Knowledge of laws, regulations, ethics; ability to exercise independent judgment; ability to analyze problems and develop appropriate responses; ability to read and comprehend documents.
