Travel Surgical Technologist

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Technologist with craniotomy/neurosurgery experience for a hospital OR position.

• BLS certification required
• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license required if applicable
• National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists
• Experience with craniotomies and neurosurgery required

• Hospital surgery department scrub role supporting a variety of surgical services
• 3x12-hour AM shifts, 36 hours per week,
• No on-call requirement
• Serve as a vital member of the OR team assuming the scrub role during surgical procedures
• Maintain a safe environment using aseptic and technical practices per AORN and facility standards
• Demonstrate knowledge of various surgical equipment and instrumentation
• Set up and maintain the sterile field in collaboration with team members
• Prepare for cases according to surgeon preference cards and procedure requirements
• Accurately perform sponge, needle, and instrument counts
• Properly identify and handle specimens per department policy
• Recognize and report faulty equipment or unsafe conditions
• Demonstrate ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
