American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN - OR for a Surgery department role requiring craniotomy and retina surgical experience, call coverage, and WA/Compact RN licensure.
Details- Operating Room position within the Surgery department of a hospital setting
- 4x10-hour AM shifts, 40 hours per week, scheduled 06:30-17:00
- Required to take call
- Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation
- Required skillset includes craniotomy and retina procedures
- Active WA State or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
- Experience with craniotomy and retina surgical procedures required
- Must adhere to facility policies, unit standards, and the Washington Nurse Practice Act
- Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit-specific standards
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
- Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
- Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff per hospital policy
