American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Hospice unit position requiring an active WA or Compact RN license and BLS certification.
Requirements- Active WA State or Compact RN license required
- Current BLS certification required
- Knowledge of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit specific standards of practice
- Hospice unit within a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule,
- 5x8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week
- No on-call responsibilities
- Epic (Dorothy/Comfort Care module) experience preferred
- Coordinate and provide compassionate, high-quality patient care using the nursing process
- Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
- Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately
- Evaluate and update discharge plans based on patient needs
- Educate patients, families, and significant others on relevant health information
- Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
- Collaborate and communicate with all members of the healthcare team
- Maintain a clean and safe environment according to hospital and unit policies
- Participate in ongoing performance evaluation and improvement processes
