American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 3 years of L&D and couplet care/postpartum experience with on-call responsibilities.

• Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Patient population includes labor and delivery, couplet care, postpartum, and mother-baby cases
• NOC shift, , 3x12s, 36 hours per week
• Required to float as a sitter and may float in rotation to other units
• On-call responsibilities required

• Active WA State or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS, NRP, and FHM certifications required
• Minimum of 3 years of travel experience in Labor and Delivery and couplet care/postpartum/mother-baby required
• Must function within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice

• Coordinate and provide high-quality, compassionate patient care using the nursing process and unit standards
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments
• Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and respond appropriately to changes in status
• Educate patients and families on relevant health information in a timely manner
• Delegate and oversee care provided by non-licensed assistive personnel
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all members of the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff per hospital policy
• Participate in performance evaluation and improvement processes with the clinical manager
