The Role
As a Senior Control Engineer , you will play a key role within the engineering organization and act as a technical authority on complex automation projects. You are responsible for the design, development, and implementation of control systems for advanced production and logistics installations.
You will work on challenging, custom‑engineered solutions, ranging from PLC and HMI development to integration with MES/WMS platforms and robotic systems. In this role, you will serve as a technical sparring partner for colleagues and customers, ensuring high standards in quality, safety, and system performance throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Reporting line: Lead Electrical & Service Engineer / Project Manager
Key Responsibilities
Design, program, and test control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI) for industrial automation applications.
Integrate control systems with robotics, MES/WMS software, and field devices.
Provide technical leadership during project execution, including engineering, FAT/SAT, and on‑site commissioning.
Optimize and further develop existing control solutions to improve performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Mentor and support junior engineers and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation in accordance with project standards and safety regulations.
Your Profile
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
Minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in control engineering and industrial automation, preferably within machine building, process automation, or logistics automation environments.
Proven experience with PLC and SCADA platforms (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal) and industrial communication networks.
Knowledge of motion control, robotic integration, and fieldbus communication is considered a strong plus.

Team player with strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
