Position:
Mid-Level Automotive Technician – Weslaco, TX. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is seeking to fill this role to work in its Auto Service centers.

• Gain hands-on experience diagnosing technical issues and delivering outstanding service as a mid-level automotive technician.
• Perform line technician services including routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid flushes, wheel alignments, tire installation, and related tasks.
• Demonstrate excellent guest service, provide clear communication about guest vehicles, and mentor junior automotive technicians.
• Document all work performed on the repair order; report safety issues to management; promote teamwork to deliver timely guest care.
• Maintain strict adherence to company policy on vehicle care and operation; perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting and standing.

• Minimum 1 year of automotive experience including brake repairs, fluid flushes, and preventative maintenance.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 18 years of age.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship now or in the future.
• Commitment to learning new technologies within the rapidly changing automotive industry.
• Ability to review, analyze, and interpret information, identify problems, and make decisions; commitment to following established safety policies and procedures.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• ASE Certification; prior experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests; experience with electrical, air conditioning, and fuel ignition systems.

Shift availability varies by location and may include weekends and holidays.
