PRN Optometry Technician needed for RHRP military readiness events!
Attention all Optometry Technicians, we are calling on you to work with us to take care of our Military Service members.
We primarily work weekends once/month, with some occasional weekdays in the State of Texas on an "as needed basis".
- Helping the optometrist with procedures and patient care
- Taking patient histories and maintaining the patient records system
- Assisting patients to select a suitable frame for their glasses
- Demonstrating care and maintenance of lenses to patients
- Repairing minor issues with broken and damaged eyeglasses
- Keeping the office organized and presentable, and making the exam room ready
- Testing visual acuity, depth perception, pressure and pupil reflexes
- 1+ years of experience as an optometric or ophthalmic technician
- Experience performing visual fields, OCTs, and Fundus Photography is required
- Experience with computers, including knowledge of and experience with word processing, database, and spreadsheet programs
- Must have own transportation for site traveling
