Salary: $14.50 to $18.50 per hour

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six months of Store Management experience. A Store Manager Trainee is accountable for the day‑to‑day operations of the store and promoting a customer‑centric environment. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations.
The position provides hourly wage plus commission based on productivity and a bonus based on store performance. Actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers warmly and promptly addressing issues.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, ensuring all procedures are followed.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety, documentation and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes: inventory, loan management, merchandising, presentation, systems and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal‑setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash requirements.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self‑development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of mission and profit objectives.
- Stay up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- Act as assistant store manager and manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling and lifting.
- Demonstrated leadership skills supervising others.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain certification if required.
- May be asked to assist a customer on the exterior or retrieve products from exterior storage.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Flexible to work multiple locations and a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Will work 45+ hours per week; hours not guaranteed.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
- Multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
