Job Summary: The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing Physical Therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.

- Interpersonal communication skills include coordinating patient care with other team members, and counseling patients and their families.

- Participates in Quality Assessment, program development, student supervision, assigned committees, safety and infection control as required.
- Demonstrates an awareness of legal issues, patient rights and compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
- Practices efficient use and selection of supplies and equipment.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Provides care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit, including assessment, data reflection, and interpretation for age‑specific needs.
Associate degree or graduate from an accredited two‑year college program in Physical Therapist Assistant.
Licensure/CertificationCurrent license in the State of Florida as Physical Therapist Assistant.
Maintains current BLS/Health Care Provider certification.
