About The PositionSt. Luke’s Surgical Center performs multi‑specialty ophthalmic surgery. Reporting to the OR Supervisor, the surgical scrub technician’s role is to provide necessary and appropriate equipment, instruments and supplies during ophthalmic surgery with the surgeon, nurses and staff. As an instrument technician, the role is to clean and sterilize instruments in accordance with AAMI standards.
What do we look for?- The ideal candidate must be able to work under pressure in an ever‑changing environment
- Ability to work in and oversee our sterile processing department
- Self‑motivation, patient focus, with strong customer service skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment with patients, physicians and staff
- High School Diploma or equivalency is required
- A minimum of one year of experience as a surgical scrub technician in an operating room is preferred.
- Experience in the cleaning and sterilization of instruments preferred
- Must be mobile in a surgery procedure; walking, standing, bending and stretching
- Perform general duties and other functions as required or assigned

Wednesdays & Fridays (7am-5pm) / One Monday a month (7am-5pm) - Weekends and Holidays off
