Hospital Overview: A five‑story, state‑of‑the‑art multi‑specialty hospital covering 380,000 square feet, built to serve one of Florida’s fastest‑growing communities. The facility opens with 102 beds, expandable to 300 when fully built out, and includes 9 advanced operating rooms, a hybrid OR with real‑time imaging, and comprehensive services in cardiology, neurology, oncology, surgery, and more.

Job Summary: The Supervisor of Imaging Services monitors daily patient and staff workflow, ensuring high‑quality patient care. The role involves direct supervision of imaging personnel and oversight of the imaging department’s daily operations.

Essential Functions
  • Direct work of technologists and support staff to achieve efficient workflow and high‑quality care.
  • Identify and correct staffing patterns to support excellent customer service.
  • Ensure images meet established quality control standards.
  • Apply principles of radiation protection and safety to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
  • Exercise professional judgement consistently and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Coordinate closely with the scheduling department, physicians, and radiologists to optimize patient and staff flow and resolve patient‑care issues.
  • Compile, monitor, and analyze data for critical success factors, Joint Commission, and budget variance reports.
  • Collaborate with other department supervisors to continually improve patient‑care processes through task forces, focus studies, PI teams, and steering committees.
  • Administer medical aid as required in cases of adverse reactions to contrast medication or other emergencies.
  • Utilize all corporate imaging computer systems accurately.
  • Conduct staff orientation and facilitate monthly staff and lead meetings.
  • Provide team members with in‑services, training, and education.
  • Serve as a resource for students and faculty members of affiliated imaging programs.
  • Ensure the safety of all patients and staff.
  • Manage personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
  • Adhere to Orlando Health’s mission statement and strategic imperatives.
  • Maintain regularly punctual attendance in compliance with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and all federal, state, and local standards.
  • Maintain compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures, department guidelines, and education requirements.
  • Assess time entry for accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor all radiology systems to ensure appropriate use, accuracy, and completion of tasks.
  • Maintain a cooperative work environment.
  • Maintain inventory for the section.
  • Monitor compliance for license, registry, and mandatory education of technologists.
  • Assist with patient care as necessary to ensure quality customer satisfaction.
Education and Training
  • Associate’s degree required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Licensure and Certification
  • Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist licensure by the State of Florida AND valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification; OR
  • Valid American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) AND maintains current BLS/Health Care Provider certification.
Experience
  • Two (2) years of experience in radiology or radiology specialty (e.g., MRI, X‑Ray, CT, etc.).
