Operations Manager
Well-established new car dealership in the Wesley Chapel, FL market is seeking an Automotive Controller to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced automotive Controller to step into a well-established dealership and make a significant impact. The dealership has a solid team in place but needs an experienced Controller to continue to develop their team and processes for long-term success.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, excels at establishing policies and procedures, and holds their team accountable while fostering a positive work environment. This is a key leadership role in a dynamic environment, perfect for someone with extensive experience in automotive accounting who thrives in high‑paced settings.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Controller in a high-volume dealership.
- Strong proficiency with Reynolds and Reynolds is required.
- A firm but fair leadership style, able to build processes and provide clear structure to the accounting team.
- Strong financial acumen in managing dealership operations, including reporting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Ownership of month-end close process - closing out the month-end and submitting to the OEM.
- A leader who can build and refine processes, helping the accounting team work more efficiently and productively.
- Proven track record of creating structure, setting clear goals, and holding teams accountable while maintaining a positive and supportive environment.

- Track record of improving processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and maintaining tight internal controls.
- Capable of leading a team and working closely with department heads to optimize dealership profitability and efficiency.
- Ability to lead and manage all aspects of the dealership's financial operations, including reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Proven success in process improvement, financial accuracy, and maintaining internal controls.
- Lead and mentor a talented accounting team, refining processes and fostering accountability to ensure each team member is aligned with their role and responsibilities.
- Implement strong policies and procedures that promote efficiency and structure, while creating a collaborative team culture.
- Collaborate closely with the General Manager and store-level managers, confidently communicating expectations and ensuring the team supports overall dealership goals.
- Provide guidance and support as the team continues to grow, while being hands-on when needed to ensure smooth and organized operations.
- Report directly to the Corporate Controller and work as part of a supportive leadership team focused on growth and improvement.
- Compensation range will be in the $115,000 - $135,000 range for the successful candidate.
