Position:General Manager / District Shift Leader
We are looking for our next General Manager. If you are ready to rise like one of our bagels and grow your career, a District Shift Leader is the first step. District Shift Leaders participate in a targeted General Manager development plan to learn how to be a bagel boss. Once the plan is complete, you will be next in line to take ownership of a bakery as a General Manager when a position is available.
Dayin the Life
District Shift Leaders perform management duties at a home location and are expected to support other bakeries in the market as needed. Shifts may begin as early as 3 am for the first bake and store opening duties. You will lead by example, be a brand ambassador, and provide ongoing coaching and training for the teams. You will jump into different roles every shift to ensure high‑quality food, beverages, and a safe, clean store environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead daily operations of a flagship bakery, ensuring excellent customer experience.
- Coach and train team members on company standards and procedures.
- Support other bakeries in the market as needed while traveling.
- Manage inventory, vendor orders, and cash handling as part of the GM development plan.
- Analyze P&L, food cost, and labor targets to achieve financial KPIs.
- Schedule and recruit quality team members.

- Minimum 30 hours per week required; no work past 3 pm (no evenings or nights)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience preferred
- Must be 18 years or older to apply
- Ability to work varied hours, including early hours and weekends (starting as early as 3 am)
- Pass a background check and possess a current, valid driver’s license
- Complete the Bagel Brands Serv Safe Certification program by the end of the GM development plan if not already certified
