The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort of residents. This includes performing professional assessments, documenting residents' health, and assisting with the management of the nursing staff on assigned units.
- Supervising, performing, and providing written/verbal care assignments, routine skills, and procedures to ensure quality care for residents;
- Participating in the development and implementation of resident care plans, maintaining up-to-date nursing care plans, documenting progress, and recommending revisions according to facility policies;
- Making daily and periodic visits to observe symptoms, reactions to medication and treatment;
- Obtaining and documenting vital signs, intake and output, weights, diet supplements, cultures, etc.;
- Assisting with staff orientation and ongoing training to ensure required skill levels are maintained.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Qualifications
- A graduate of an accredited nursing school with a valid LPN license in good standing according to state and federal requirements.
- Thorough understanding of safe and effective nursing practices within Florida.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with programs like Excel and Word.
- Personal integrity and tactful communication with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
- A passion for caring for people.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly, complying with HIPAA and other regulations.
- Knowledge of computer use, Office machines, and software.
