SummaryTo deliver individualized quality nursing care to cancer patients and families in accordance with established hospital guidelines, nursing professional practice model, nursing care standards and policies and in accordance with ANA code of ethics and external regulatory agencies. These frameworks of care include: collaboration and mutual problem solving, dignity and human respect, encouraging manner, attentive reassurance, appreciation of unique meaning, healing environment, basic human needs, information sharing, caring for self, and affiliation needs. (see attached) Registered Nurses use the nursing process to effectively plan and manage quality patient care. Biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational and discharge planning needs are addressed in all steps of the nursing process.

Moffitt Cancer Center's Genitourinary Oncology Program is a world-class destination for patients with cancers of the urinary tract and male genital organs. We are a high-paced, high-volume, National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center with concentrated programs for even the rarest malignancies, and many of our physicians are fellowship-trained in urologic sub-specialties. As a result, we are a trusted partner of physicians across the nation in need to refer their patients to an advanced program for genitourinary cancer diagnosis or treatment.

The Registered Nurse will provide support to up to 6 Physicians on some clinic days and up to 5 Nurse practitioners on other clinic days. On occasion, the Registered Nurse may be scheduled to work at our location near International Plaza.
