American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Hospice unit position requiring 2 years of experience and weekend availability.
Requirements- Active RN license (FL or Compact) required
- Current BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
- Hospice or end-of-life care experience needed
- Skilled in pain management, symptom assessment, and postmortem care
- Experience with advanced directives and ethical/legal end-of-life issues
- Phlebotomy and IV management skills required
- Hospice unit setting providing care to geriatric and hospice patients
- Average daily caseload of 5-7 patients
- Night shift schedule, 5x8 hours (19:00-07:00)
- Weekend requirement of 3x12 shifts Friday through Sunday
- No on-call responsibilities
- Covers East Pasco County territory
- Uses Netsmart charting system
- Provide inpatient hospice and end-of-life care including pain management, symptom assessment, and family support
- Responsible for death pronouncement, postmortem care, and death/dying counseling
- Scrub attire of any color permitted
- No RTO allowed during the first two weeks or during orientation
- No call-ins permitted
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
