On-Demand Target:
Work as much or as little as you like. Scheduling may vary based on shift availability and store needs. You will create your own schedule by picking up shifts posted by leaders or other team members via the myTime mobile scheduling app. Reliability and prompt attendance are essential. Active engagement by picking up and working shifts once every 4 weeks (minimum of four hours) is expected.
If you do not respond to contact attempts or do not work at least one shift within 5 months, employment may be terminated. You may be required to attend a Welcome orientation and short-term training before using the scheduling app to pick up shifts.
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard.
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests during daily tasks and when assistance is needed.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services in the store to solve guest needs and improve their experience.
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with safety standards and company best practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current brand launches, store activities, and events.
- Promote and assist with Target Loyalty programs and all fulfillment services; direct guests to enroll, activate, and use them.
- Explain and demonstrate wallet and Target App features to guests.
- Handle returns following store policies and seek assistance from leaders when needed.
- De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per policies and procedures.
- Provide easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies as needed during store hours.
- Adhere to safety policies, and report hazards.
- Support guest services such as order pickup (OPU), Drive-Up (DU) orders, and DU returns, maintaining compliance with laws where applicable.
- Support cash office processes as needed, including cash systems management.
- All other duties based on business needs.
- Enjoy interacting with guests and helping others, including store guests and team members.
- Thrives in a fast-moving, active, and physically demanding environment; teamwork, flexibility, and problem solving are important.
- Open to flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
- Effective communication and a positive attitude toward guests and team members.
- Ability to stay focused and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to educate guests about products and services and engage with them.
- Ability to operate handheld scanners and other technology; work independently or in a team.
- Comfort with cash handling and basic cash office operations.
- Ability to lift up to 44 pounds with or without assistance; frequently move/scan merchandise; occasional exposure to varying temperatures.
