About Haven Landing

Haven Landing, operated under its parent company Pomelo Properties LLC, is seeking Swim Instructors to support our aquatics programs across Florida’s Suncoast Region. This role is ideal for instructors who enjoy hands‑on teaching, flexible scheduling, and making a meaningful impact through water safety and skill development.

The position focuses on direct swim instruction and does not include clinical or therapeutic services.

This is practical, in‑person instruction. Most of your time will be spent:

• Teaching private or small‑group swim lessons
• Supporting swimmer confidence, safety, and skill progression
• Communicating progress with families and program leadership
• Maintaining a safe, supportive learning environment

Lessons are scheduled in advance whenever possible.

• Deliver swim instruction aligned with Haven Landing program standards
• Promote water safety, confidence, and foundational swim skills
• Communicate clearly and professionally with families
• Maintain basic session documentation as required

• In‑person instruction
• Full‑time or part‑time based on client demand and seasonal needs
• Flexible scheduling with clustered sessions when possible

Suncoast Region of Florida (Pasco, Hernando, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Sarasota Counties)

• Swim instruction experience or strong swimming background
• CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain before start date)
• Active Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification through the American Red Cross (required)
• Ability to follow safety protocols and lesson plans
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• Reliable transportation to lesson locations

• Prior swim team, lifeguard, or instructor experience
• Experience working with children or youth programs

• Competitive hourly or per‑session compensation based on experience
• Client‑based workload
