Through Haven Swims™, we provide adaptive and inclusive aquatics programs designed to promote water safety, confidence, and independence.
OverviewHaven Landing is seeking an Adaptive Aquatics Coordinator to support and grow our Haven Swims™ programs across the Suncoast Region of Florida. This is a hybrid role that combines direct adaptive swim instruction with program coordination, communication, and operational support.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in the water while also coordinating people, schedules, and programs behind the scenes.
What This Role Looks Like Day-to-DayYour time will be split between instruction and coordination, including:
- Teaching adaptive swim lessons (private pay and community-based programs)
- Coordinating swim instructors, lesson schedules, and coverage
- Communicating with families, instructors, and community partners
- Supporting program operations, outreach, and visibility
- Managing basic adaptive aquatics–related social media content
- Deliver adaptive swim instruction in accordance with program standards
- Coordinate instructor schedules and lesson logistics
- Serve as a primary point of contact for families and partners
- Support program growth, outreach, and community engagement
- Ensure professionalism, safety, and consistency across aquatics services
- Hybrid role (in-pool instruction and remote coordination)
- Full-time or part-time based on program demand
- Flexible scheduling aligned with lesson schedules and seasonal needs
- Experience teaching adaptive or inclusive swim lessons
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- Active Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification through the American Red Cross (required)
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfort working with individuals with disabilities
- High school diploma or GED – REQUIRED
- Reliable transportation within the Suncoast Region
- Familiarity with Water Smart FL
- Experience coordinating instructors or programs
- Comfort managing basic social media content
